Day 17 (Monday) - VOTE!

Updated: May 11, 2021

Dear readers: Today, we solicit your valued opinion on the colour for our new waterproof, wipe-down, super-robust PVC curtains ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽจ.

While choosing the colour is the fun part, the curtains are essential to protect the basic dignity of our patients.

When emergencies are rolled in: we cut off clothes, place ECG leads on naked chests, spread bare legs and rummage in labias in search of the urethra for emergent catheterisation.

Patients are often unable to move and rely on us to protect their dignity during their most vulnerable moments.

No one is too poor for dignity.

Tell us which colour you think would best match the new grey walls (use the "Write comment" box at the bottom of this post).

All readers are welcome!!

We will extend the vote to the nursing staff offline too.

...and just a micro update on the flooring...we are thrilled to report that the rotten vinyl has been REMOVED!

Chiselled out centimeter-by-centimeter with hammers and hard work.

Here's Jackie and Poeletso recovering in the morning sun after a night shift of manual labour.

Looking forward to your opinions!
